Granada de Pom Martini

In this lighter island-style take on the classic Martini, the juice of Mediterranean pomegranates and tropical passion fruit syrup lend their refreshing tartness. Dark cherry-flavored Maraschino liqueur from Italy and cooling fresh spearmint combine with Aruba Vodka to make a well-balanced drink with a rosy pink color.

Ingredients

  • 6 mint leaves

  • 50 ml Papiamento Aruba Vodka [1½ ounces plus 1 teaspoon]

  • 40 ml pomegranate juice [1 ounces plus 2 teaspoons]

  • 10 ml passion fruit syrup [2 teaspoons]

  • 10 ml Maraschino liqueur [2 teaspoons]

Garnish

  • Maraschino cherry, mint leaf, for garnish

Preparation
SERVING FOR 1

Combine all the ingredients in a cocktail shaker with ice and shake vigorously to combine. Strain through a fine sieve and serve in a coupe or Martini glass. Skewer a Maraschino cherry and a mint leaf on a toothpick and place in the glass.
